The Hierarchical Equilibrium Thermodynamics of Living Systems in Action
نویسنده
چکیده
The law of temporal hierarchies of the biological world allows us to pick out of the biomass quasiclosed thermodynamic systems of a specific hierarchy. The use of this law of Nature as applied to supramolecular structures of organisms allows us the opportunity of using the methods of equilibrium supramolecular thermodynamics in the examination of open living systems. It has been proven that the second law of thermodynamics in its classic formulation is easy to apply to specific aspects of living systems in order to make calculations, carried out through methods of chemical, supramolecular and overall hierarchical thermodynamics.

Natural Selection and Thermodynamics of Biological Evolution
The author of this article proposes that the representation of Charles Darwin and Alfred Wallace’s theory on “variation and selection” in the living world is a reflection of the action of hierarchical thermodynamics. Hierarchical thermodynamics is based on the law of temporal hierarchies and on the principle of substance stability. This principle enables the transmission of thermodynamic inform...
متن کاملMacrothermodynamics of Biological Evolution and the Aging of Living Organisms. Physicochemical Dietetics
The author sets forth-general considerations pertaining to the thermodynamic theory of biological evolution and the aging of living organisms. It becomes much easier to comprehend the phenomenon of life scrutinizing the formation of structural hierarchies of biological matter applying different temporal scales. These scales are identified by nature itself, and this is reflected in the law of ...
متن کاملMathematical Modeling of the Temperature-Dependent Growth of Living Systems
In this investigation a non-equilibrium thermodynamic model of the temperature dependent biological growth of a living systems has been analyzed. The results are derived on the basis of Gompertzian growth equation. In this model, we have considered the temperature dependent growth rate and development parameter. The non-equilibrium thermodynamic model is also considered for exploring the variat...
متن کاملOrder from Disorder: The Thermodynamics of Complexity in Biology
In the middle of the nineteenth century, two major scientific theories emerged about the evolution of natural systems over time. Thermodynamics, as refined by Boltzmann, viewed nature as decaying toward a certain death of random disorder in accordance with the second law of thermodynamics. This equilibrium seeking, pessimistic view of the evolution of natural systems is contrasted with the para...
متن کاملRemoval of Basic Dye Bromophenol Blue from aqueous solution by Electrocoagulation using Al – Fe Electrodes: Kinetics, Equilibrium and Thermodynamics Studies.
Electrocoagulation (EC) in a batch cell with Al anode and Fe cathode in monopolar parallel (MP) connection was used for the removal of basic dye, Bromophenol Blue (BPB). The effects of current density, pH, temperature and initial dye concentration, on the process were investigated. Equlibrium data were analyzed using four model equations: Langmuir, Freudlinch, Temkin and Dubinin–Radushkevich. D...
